Our institute held a seminar on April 18th, 2008 and invited Prof. Stanley Crossick, Founding Chairman of the European Policy Center to have academic exchanges with the experts on European Studies from our institute, Fudan University and Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, etc., such as Prof.Wu Yikang, Prof. Xu Mingqi, Prof. Dai Binran, Prof. Zhang Zuqian Prof. Yang Fengmin and so on.
Prof. Stanley Crossick focused on the current Sino-EU relations, the role of France-Germany engine in the EU integration process, EU’s response to the Tibet issue and American’s role in Sino-EU relations, etc. He discussed these topics in depth with the scholars and experts present the meeting. Everyone expressed his opinions and got a lot of new insights. This academic discussion achieved a successful result.
