Our institute held a seminar on May 27th, 2008 and invited Prof. Jan van der Harst from university of Groningen and Ingrid d’Hooghe, senior research fellow of Netherlands Institute of International Relations to have academic exchanges with the experts on European Studies from our institute, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and Shanghai University of International Studies, etc., such as Prof.Wu Yikang, Prof. Xu Mingqi, Prof. Zhang Zuqian, Prof. Cui Hongwei and so on.
Prof. Jan van der Harst introduced some important period of China-Netherlands relations since the establishment of diplomatic relations and made comment on the future relationship of China-EU and China-Netherlands. Ingrid d’Hooghe focused on the China-EU strategic economic dialogue and China’s public policy in EU. They discussed these topics in depth with the scholars and experts present the meeting. Everyone expressed his opinions and got a lot of new insights. This academic discussion achieved a successful result.
