On January 11th, SIES held the working conference and the board members discussed the coming 2009 session of annual meeting and listened to the summary of 2009’s work and the coming year’s plan addressed by Secretary-general Cao Ziheng. Prof. Dai Bingran, president of SIES, Prof. Wu Yikang, honorary president of SIES and vice presidents of SIES joined the discussion. After the conference, Prof. Guan Yuqian, president of German-China Cultural Exchange Association, chairman of European Chinese Society, was invited to have discussions on the current China-Germany relations. Prof. Guan also accepted president Dai’s invitation of being adviser of SIES with pleasure.
