On June 13, Mr. Jan Fidrmuc, Senior Lecturer of Brunel University, UK, paid a visit to SIES, and made an academic exchange with scholars over the topic of “Foreign Language and Trade”. In his excellent speech illuminated by a huge amount of statistical data, Mr. Jan Fidrmuc presented and elaborated his idea that, as an important factor promoting the affairs related to international trade, a common language already widely accepted and exercised by various countries might increase the frequency of international exchanges and deepen the mutual & multilateral trade relations. Professor Dai Bingran, Professor Wu Yikang, Professor Dai Qixiu, Professor Wang Zhiqiang, Associate Professor Xin Hua, Secretary-General Cao Ziheng and Mrs. Ye Yumin attended the meeting.
