On November 8th of 2011, the Shanghai Institute for European Studies held its 3rd session of Academic Youth Forum in Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. The forum centered on the theme of “Perception on Europe: Observation by Chinese Youth on EU and China-Europe Relation”. Nearly 40 young academicians from Fudan University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, East China University of Science and Technology, East China University of Politics and Law, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Institute of International Studies, and Shanghai International Studies University participated into this forum. Meanwhile over 10 senior academicians made keynote speeches. Honorable guests of this forum included Mr. Liang Yuguo, who was from the Department of Academic Institution Affairs of Shanghai Association of Social Sciences, Professor Dai Bingran, president of our institute, and Professor Wu Yikang, honorable president of our institute, and members of the secretariat of our institute. Dr. Cao Ziheng, secretary-general of our institute, presided over the discussions and exchanges of this forum.
