On the afternoon of October 25th, Dr. Franco Algieri and Arnold H. Kammel, outstanding researchers of the Austria Research Institute of European and Security Policy, came to visit the Shanghai Institute for European Institute, and held discussions with Chinese scholars over the topics of the possibility of lifting of arms embargo, the issue of China's status of market economy, the U.S. strategic return to East Asia, and the mutual trust between China and Europe. Dai Bingran, Zhang Zuqian, Cui Hongwei, Jian Junbo, Cao Ziheng, Xin Hua, and Yang Haifeng, and some other members of the secretariat of SIES, all participated in the meeting and discussion.
