On the afternoon of November 12th, the Shanghai Association of Societies of Social Sciences held the 8th conference for the work of academic societies of philosophy and social sciences. On this conference, commendations were awarded to the excellent societies of social sciences of Shanghai during 2009-2011, the prominent non-official academic research institutions of Shanghai, the eminent researchers of social sciences of Shanghai, and the academic institutions that won the "Prize of Unique Activities of Academic Societies" and the "Prize for Brand Activities of Academic Societies". SIES won the title of "Excellent Academic Society of Shanghai 2009-2011" and its Youth Forum won the Special Prize for "Unique Organization of Activities of Shanghai's Academic Societies of Social Sciences 2009-2011". Mr. Zhang Zuqian and Mr. Yang Haifeng were awarded with the "Prize for Outstanding Member of Shanghai's Academic Societies of Social Sciences 2009-2011".
