On the afternoon of March 14th, Mr. Laszlo Peter Kuti, Hungarian Consul General in Shanghai, paid a visit to SIES at the company of Mr. Nagy-Simek Valentin, another Hungarian consul in Shanghai. Mr. Laszlo Peter Kuti and Mr. Nagy-Simek Valentin talked about the inaugurating Chinese leadership and the prospects of China-EU and EU-U.S. relations, from Hungarian perspective. They exchanged opinions and made discussions with major Shanghai scholars of European studies, including SIES president Xu Mingqi, SIES honorary presidents Wu Yikang and Dai Bingran, Prof. Zhang Zuqian, Dr. Cao Ziheng, Prof. Cui Hongwei, Prof. Xin Hua, and Ms. Ye Yumin. Mr. Laszlo Peter Kuti also warmly invited SIES's major members to travel to Hungary and presented his offer of assistance to facilitate this travel. On behalf of SIES, President Xu Mingqi warmly welcomed Hungarian guests and accepted this invitation. President Xu said that SIES would organize a delegation for this invited travel soon. Some members of SIES's secretariat also participated in this meeting.
