The “2015 Prize Award Ceremony for Excellent Academic Paper and Young Scholar Forum” Was Held in Fudan University

    On the morning of November 15^th of 2015, “the 2015 Prize Award Ceremony for Excellent Academic Papers of All-Shanghai Young Scholars of European Studies and the 7^th All-Shanghai Youth Forum for European Studies” was held in the Building of Social Sciences of Fudan University. This award ceremony and youth forum was sponsored by the Shanghai Institute for European Studies and co-organized by the School of International Relations and Public Affairs of the Fudan University. This ceremony and forum was attended by over 60 young scholars and Ph.D. students from various universities and other academic institutions in Shanghai. The opening of this ceremony and forum was addressed by Prof. CHEN Zhimin, dean of the School of International Relations and Public Affairs of Fudan University, and Mr. LIANG Yuguo, deputy director of the administration department of the Shanghai Association of Social Sciences. In the end, Prof. XU Mingqi, president of the Shanghai Institute of European Studies, made the concluding remarks. Prizes were awarded to the winners, who made presentations on their academic papers winning the 2015 prizes and exchanged ideas for further researches. And then the prize-winning papers were commented one by one by the leadership of the SIES, including Prof. XU Mingqi, Prof. WU Yikang, Prof. CHEN Zhimin, Prof. YANG Fengmin, Prof. ZHENG Chunrong, Prof. YE Jiang, and Dr. CAO Ziheng, who were authoritative and prestigious scholars of older generations. The prize award ceremony was presided by Dr. YANG Haifeng, coordinator of the project of youth forum and Dr. ZHANG Ji of the Fudan University. In his concluding remarks, Prof. XU Mingqi extended his gratitude to the various universities and academic institutions for their supports to the work related to the grading, adjudication, and awarding of the prizes, and expressed his comfort on the great interests, perseverant researches, and impressive performances of young scholars in the field of European studies. Mr. LIANG Yuguo expressed his affirmative recognitions and sincere support to the work of prize contest and youth forum made by the SIES, and encouraged young scholars to work out more theoretic and academic achievements for the country.
