On the afternoon of Nov. 11th, SIES, together withShanghai Academy of Social Sciences(SASS), held a seminar at the conference room of SASS, where Duncan Freeman, professor of China Center of VUB of Brussels delivered a keynote speech on “Restructuring of Chinese Economy: Trade and Industrial Trend and its influence on China-Europe Relations”. Prof. Freeman also had a deep discussion with local scholars including Xu Mingqi, Wu Yikang, Dai Bingran, Ye Jiang, Qian Yunchun, Cao Ziheng, Yang Haifeng, Long Jing and Xin Hua. Around 40 people, including Emilia Gargallo Gonzalez of EU delegation to China, were present at the seminar.
