On June 9th 2018, the academic symposium of “Dilemma and Prospect of the European Union within the New Pattern of Global Competitions” was held in the 104 Conference Hall of the Center for American Studies at the Fudan University. This symposium was jointly sponsored and organized by the School of International Studies of the Fudan University, the Shanghai Institute for European Studies, and the Shanghai Association of International Relations. Over 30 domestic scholars participated in this symposium. Prof. WU Xinbo, Dean of the School of International Studies of Fudan University, made an opening speech. Prof. CHEN Zhimin, Vice President of Fudan University, and Prof. XU Mingqi, President of the Shanghai Institute for European Studies, made concluding remarks for this symposium.
