On October 27th 2018, the conference on “Asia-Europe Cooperation and Mutual Connectivity” was held in the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. This conference was jointly held by the Shanghai Institute for European Studies and the institute of international Studies of Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. The opening ceremony was addressed by Prof. WANG Jian, dean of the institute of international Studies of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and Dr. CAO Ziheng, supervisor of the Shanghai Institute for European Studies. The final concluding remarks were made by Prof. XU Mingqi, President of the SIES and Prof. YU Jianhua, deputy dean of the institute of international studies of the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences. The participants of this conference included: Prof. YU Jianhua, Dr. YANG Haifeng, Prof. PAN Guang, Dr. ZHU Yufang, Dr. GU Wei, Dr. WU Zelin, Prof. ZHANG Jian, Prof. DING Chun, Prof. ZHANG Yinghong, Prof. SONG Lilei, Dr. DAI Yichen, Prof. CUI Hongjian, Prof. XU Mingqi, Prof. CHEN Dingding, Prof. LU Gang, Prof. CUI Hongwei, and Dr. ZHANG Qun. Over 30 scholars from nationally-well known think tanks and universities took part in this conference.
