The SIES Cooperates to hold a seminar on Europe and China-EU Relations under the New Situation

  On November 2, 2019, the academic seminar on Europe and China-EU Relations under the New Situation was held at Tongji University. The seminar was co-hosted by Shanghai Institute for European Studies, Tongji University’s Center for German Studies, School of Marxism Studies, and Center for European Studies under the School of Politics and International Studies. The seminar focused on four topics. The first one was the new trend of the European Union after the European Parliament elections. The second one was the EU’s strategic adjustment to China and the prospects of China-EU relations in the new era. The third one was the Brexit and its influence on China’s partnership with UK and Europe .The last one was the trilateral relations between China, EU and the United States. This seminar is also one of the activities of the 13th "Academic Activity Month" of Shanghai Association of Social Sciences. Nearly 40 experts, scholars and relevant figures from Beijing and Shanghai attended the meeting.
