On the morning of December 19, 2020, the 11th Shanghai Youth Forum for European Studies was held by the SIES in the Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Secretary General YANG Haifeng presided over the opening ceremony, and President Xu Mingqi and Dr. Zhang Yinghong, Director of Center for European Studies at SIIS delivered opening remarks. Dr. Long Jing, Deputy Director of Center for European Studies at SIIS and Dr. Zhang Ji, Assistant Dean of SIRPA at Fudan University moderated the forum. Former President WU Yikang and Honoary President DAI Bingran made comments on the presentations by the young scholars and students. The participants exchanged views on the European security and defence, the populist parties, the EU’s strategic autonomy, the Poland-China relations and other topics.
