On the afternoon of January 26th, 2022, the SIES organized a joint meeting of leadership and party working group. This meeting was participated in by SIES President Xu Mingqi, Vice Presidents Yang Fengmin and Ye Jiang, Secretary-general Yang Haifeng, Deputy Secretaries-general Dai Qixiu, Shang Yuhong, and Zhang Yinghong. Former SIES President Wu Yikang, Honorary President Dai Bingran, and Supervisor Cao Ziheng also took part in this meeting. On the meeting, the 2021 working report of SIES was presented and deliberated. Also, the plans of the major work of 2022 were discussed. It was agreed that the change of SIES executive offices to new term shall be carried forward steadily. It was also agreed in the meeting that academic meetings shall be sponsored and organized in 2022 on topics related to the 50th anniversary of the establishment of China-UK and China-Germany diplomatic relations, the 10th anniversary of China-Central and Eastern Europe Cooperation Mechanism, the French general election, and the change of the focus of European Union. Participants also held discussions on how to foster the younger generation of scholars of European studies.
