On the
afternoon of March 1st, 2022, the Shanghai Federation of Social Science
Associations held the 11th conference for the academic associations of
philosophy and social sciences and the 2022 annual conference for the
party-building work and the heads of academic associations. On this conference,
praises and honors were given to those academic associations and individuals
who were awarded the honorable titles of three kinds of “excellence”, one kind
of “distinguished merit”, and one kind of “outstanding brand”, which were
awarded once in every three years. Shanghai Institute for European Studies
(SIES) was awarded the title of “Excellent Association of Social Science in
Shanghai 2018-2020”. Prof. Xin Hua and Dr. Yang Haifeng were awarded the title of
“Eminent Working Member of Association of Social Science in Shanghai”. Also,
the Symposium of “The Prospects of China-Europe Cooperation Guided by A New
evelopmentPhilosophy”, which had been jointly sponsored and organized by
Shanghai Institute for European Studies and the Center for German Studies of
Tongji university in 2021, was granted the prize for excellent program of the
15th round of annual “Month for Events of Academic Associations in 2021” by the
Shanghai Federation of Social Associations.
