On February 21, 2025, Michael de Boer, First Secretary of the Trade Department of the Delegation of the European Union to the People’s Republic of China, visited SIES to exchange views with members of the Institute on how to prevent the escalation of the trade dispute between China and Europe, and how to develop economic and trade relations between China and Europe in the era of Trump 2.0, among other issues. Ding Chun, Menjing, Long Jing, Xin Hua, Xu Mingqi, Xue Sheng, Yang Haifeng, Yang Zhengzhen, Zhang Yinghong, Zhu Yichen and others participated in the symposium.
