On October 25, 2024, the Shanghai Institute for European Studies (SIES) and the Center for China-Europe Relations of Fudan University co-organized the launch of the Chinese translation of The Brussels Effect: How the European Union Rules the World? and Symposium on “Europe's Global Influence and Its Challenges” was successfully held at Fudan University. The book launch and symposium were also one of the activities of the 18th (2024) Academic Activity Month of the Shanghai Federation of Social Sciences Associations (SSSA). The symposium brought together experts and scholars from Fudan University, Shanghai JiaoTong University, East China Normal University, Tongji University, Shanghai International Studies University, East China University of Science and Technology, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, and other universities and research institutes, discussing topics such as European integration and soft power, China-European relations, the EU's foreign policy, and the reshaping of Europe and the global order.
