On July 2, 2024, the kick-off meeting on “The Writing of the 2024 Think Tank Report on US-European Relations” and the Seminar on “The New Situation of European Foreign Strategy”, co-sponsored by the Centre for EU Studies of Shanghai International Studies University (SISU) and Shanghai Institutes for European Studies (SIES), was held at SISU. The seminar focused on the current US-European relations in various fields and the new trend of the EU's strategy towards China under their influence, as well as the relations between the U.S. and the major European powers and sub-regions. More than 40 experts, scholars, postgraduates and journalists from SIES, Fudan University, Shanghai Jiao Tong University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies and other organisations attended the conference.
