SIES Co-held an Academic Exchange Conference on “Changes in Europe and the Reshaping of Sino-European Relations”

On June 26, 2024, hosted by Shanghai Institute for European Studies (SIES) and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS), the academic exchange conference on “Changes in Europe and the Reshaping of Sino-European Relations” was held at Shanghai Institutes for International Studies (SIIS). Professor Cui Hongjian of the Academy of Regional and Global Governance of Beijing Foreign Studies University was invited to deliver a keynote speech. Researcher Xu Mingqi, Honorary President of SIES, summarised the conference. The experts discussed and exchanged views on the right-leaning results of the European Parliament election, the trade friction between China and Europe, the stalemate of the Russia-Ukraine conflict and the uncertain impact of the US election on China-EU relations. More than ten experts and scholars from Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai Institute for European Studies, Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies and other institutions participated in this conference.
