On May 13, 2024, a symposium on “European Diplomacy and Sino-European Relations in Regional Conflicts” was held at the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences (SASS), hosted by the Shanghai Institute for European Studies (SIES) and the Institute of International Relations of SASS, and undertaken by the European Studies Office of the Institute of International Relations of SASS. Prof. Ding Chun, president of SIES and director of the Center for European Studies of Fudan University, made an opening speech, and Prof. Yu Jianhua, director of the Center for European Studies of SASS and editor-in-chief of Journal of International Relations, made a summary of the meeting. More than 30 experts, scholars and postgraduates from SIES, SASS, Shanghai Institutes of International Studies, Fudan University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics participated in the meeting.
