On the afternoon of January 19, 2024, the seminar on “the German Situation: Retrospect and Prospect” and year-end Appreciation Party of 2023 were held in the Sino-German Building of Tongji University. The seminar was co-sponsored by the Academic Committee for German Studies of the Shanghai Institute for European Studies (SIES), the German Studies Center of Tongji University and the Sino-German Cultural Exchange Research Center of Tongji University. Prof. Ding Chun, President of SIES, and Prof. Zheng Chunrong, Director of the German Studies Center of Tongji University, made address of welcome. Prof. Wu Huiping, Deputy Director of the German Studies Center of Tongji University, and Dr. Yang Haifeng, Secretary-General of SIES presided over the relevant sessions. Prof. Jiang Feng, Prof. Ding Chun, Prof. Zheng Chunrong, Prof. Wu Huiping, Associate Professor Hu Chunchun, Assistant Researcher Peng Xiao, Professor Wang Enuo, Researcher Xin Hua, Assistant Professor Hu Zinan, Assistant Professor Zhou Yijiang, Assistant Professor Xuan Li and many other experts and scholars in German and European studies made wonderful speeches.
