On the afternoon of December 23, 2023, the Annual Conference of the Shanghai Institute for European Studies (SIES) "Europe and China-EU Relations at the Turning Point" was held at the Sino-French Center of Tongji University. The annual conference was organized by SIES and hosted by the German Studies Center of Tongji University. Prof. Ding Chun, President of SIES, and Prof. Zheng Chunrong, Director of German Studies Center of Tongji University, delivered welcoming speeches. Dr. Yang Haifeng, Secretary General of SIES, made a report on the work of the board of Directors and financial reports, and made a report on the work of the supervisor of SIES, Professor Yang Fengmin. Prof. Wu Huiping, Prof. Fan Jun, Prof. Ye Jiang and Prof. Yu Jianhua presided over sessions. Prof. Ding Chun, Prof. Zheng Chunrong, Prof. Yu Nanping, Researcher Zhang Yinghong, Prof. Yang Yousun, Associate Professor Hu Chunchun, Associate Researcher Xue Sheng, Professor Men Jing, Researcher Xin Hua, Professor Shang Yuhong, Professor Qiu Qiang, Dr. Dai Yichen, Associate Research Fellow Yan Shaohua, Associate Research Fellow Yao Xu and many other European studies experts and scholars made wonderful speeches.
