On October 14, 2023, the academic seminar“Germany's Strategy towards China and its Influence on Sino-European Relations”, sponsored by the SIES, German Studies Center of Tongji University and Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, was held at Tongji University. The conference focused on the theme of "Germany's Strategy towards China and its Influence on Sino-European Relations" and comprised four discussion units:Commonalities and Differences in the Current International Landscape: Perspectives from China and Germany, and China and Europe.Cooperation and Competition between China and Germany, and China and Europe, in areas such as markets, digital technology, green initiatives, and technology.The Influence of Germany's "China Strategy" Document on Sino-German Relations.The Impact of Germany's Strategy towards China and Sino-German Relations on Sino-European Relations, as well as the Quadrilateral Relations of China, the United States, Europe, and Russia.In addition, experts engaged in open discussions on topics such as Sino-American relations and the effects of technological advancements on international relations.More than 30 experts, scholars and postgraduates from Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Renmin University of China, Beijing Foreign Studies University, Shanghai Institutes for International Studies, Shanghai Institute for European Studies, Tongji University attended the meeting.
