On July 4th, 2023, the academic seminar "EU Strategic Independent Construction and China-Eu Relations in the New Situation", sponsored by the SIES and the Institute of International Relations of the SASS and hosted by the European Research Office of the Institute of International Relations of the SASS, was held at the SASS. More than 20 experts and scholars from the Shanghai Institute for European Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences, Shanghai Institute for International Studies, Fudan University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai University of International Business and Economics and other research institutions and universities in Shanghai attended the conference.
