On the afternoon of June 27, 2023, the seminar on "The New Strategic Situation of the European Union towards China" and the launch meeting on "The Writing of the 2023 Think Tank Report on US-European Relations" were held at Shanghai International Studies University (SISU). The conference was co-sponsored by the SIES and the Center for European Union Studies of SISU. More than 30 experts, scholars and postgraduates from the Shanghai Institute for European Studies, Shanghai International Studies University, Fudan University, Tongji University, East China Normal University, East China University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai University of Political Science and Law, Shanghai Institute of International Studies, Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and other universities and think tanks in Shanghai. A heated discussion was conducted focusing on the current U.S.-European relations and the latest trend of European foreign policy decisions and their impact on the Sino-U.S.-European triangle.
