An outstanding academic monograph, Meditations on the European Constitution, authored by Jürgen Habermas and translated by Wu Huiping and Zhu Miaomiao, has been published by Shanghai People's Publishing House in January 2013. This monograph is the fourth book of the "Series of Academic Works on EU and the World", an academic publishing program edited by Dai Bingran and Chen Zhimin and jointly financed by the Shanghai Institute for European Studies, the School of International Relations and Public Affairs, Fudan University, and the Jean Monet Professorship Program of EU. The "Series of Academic Works on EU and the World" is a long term publishing plan for the purpose of promoting the academic prosperity and progress in the discipline of European studies in Shanghai. The previously published monographs of this series are the International Relations Theories: the European Perspective, authored by Mario Taylor, the Cooperation and Competition in the New Tri-Lateral Relations between China, U.S., and the Europe, authored by Chen Zhimin et all, and China-U.S.-Europe Trilateral Relations in the Global Governance of Climate Change, authored by Dr. Bo Yan.
